In the field of labor protection and environmental protection, LLC UWT №1 has implemented and operates a quality management system ISO 9001: 2015 what is confirmed by a certificate of conformity of the quality management system issued by the Bureau Veritas Classification Society. The personnel of LLC UWT №1 has a high professional qualification for performing underwater works. The enterprise performs the work in accordance with requirements of the national legislation of Ukraine on labor protection and the current international standards, namely:

• hazardous operations is performed on the basis of a Declaration of conformity registered by the State Labor Service of Ukraine;
• equipment with increased danger, namely pressure equipment, is operated and used in work on the basis of permits issued by the State Labor Service of Ukraine;
• the personnel of the enterprise admitted to work with increased danger undergo an annual medical examination as well as drug and psychiatric examinations in accordance with order No. 246 of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated May 21, 2007 which is confirmed by the corresponding entries in the medical books of divers and certificates from a specialized medical and preventive institution;
• diving and operations to a depth of more than 12 m always take place in the presence of a certified medical worker – a specialist physiologist;
• the personnel of the enterprise admitted to high risk operations undergoes annual training on labor protection, regulatory legal acts on labor protection – uniform labor protection rules when performing diving work (parts 1 and 2), labor protection rules when operating pressure vessels. Training is confirmed by knowledge test protocols, certificates and relevant entries in the personal books of divers.

The company has certificates of conformity issued by the relevant classification societies. The personnel of LLC UWT №1 has experience in repairing the underwater part of the ships hulls afloat (cracks, ruptures, displacement of water leaks, deformation of the hull) and hydraulic structures, their inspection, measurements of the thickness of the hulls afloat, performing welding and cutting works under water. The company has its own equipment to ensure the safety of diving operations to depths of 12 meters or more – a diving pressure chambers designed for a working pressure of at least 1 MPa (10 kgf/cm²) in accordance with requirements of unified labor protection rules when performing diving work.

Environmental protection

When performing work the Company also compulsorily complies with the requirements of national environmental legislation:

• Law of Ukraine “On Environmental Protection”;
• Resolution of the Supreme Council of Ukraine “On the main directions of state policy of Ukraine in the field of environmental protection, use of natural resources and environmental safety”;
• International agreements in the field of environmental safety.
